Core Standard Version 2.5 published

Today, we are happy to announce the release of version 2.5 of the AtMoDat Kernstandard ("Core Standard"). We made minor changes in the requirements for metadata und netCDF file structure. This versions is still available in German language only.

The next update of this standard will be a major release (version 3.0). The work on version 3 has started but it will take some month until it is ready for release. The major features of this version are:

• written in English language

• renamed to "ATMODAT Standard"
• clear language: must/should/may, see e.g. RFC 2119
• short and easy-to-understand description of requirements
• detailed descriptions and tables in the Appendix
• minor or no changes in the content/requirements
