Core Standard Version 2.5 published
The AtMoDat core standard version 2.5 was published today. It will be renamed to "ATMODAT Standard" in the next release.

AtMoDat at the #vBIB20
Anette Ganske (TIB) presented the Data Maturity Index (coauthors Daniel Heydebreck and Angelina Kraft), which has been developed within the AtMoDat project, at the #vBIB20.

Vivien Voss (UHH) and Daniel Neumann (DKRZ) presented work done within the AtMoDat project at the EGU's "Sharing Geoscience Online" 2020.
AtMoDat at GitHub
The AtMoDat project now has an own GitHub project in which drafts and products are published.
EGU General Assembly 2020
The "real world" EGU General Assembly 2020 was cancelled and will be converted into a smaller online meeting. Several abstracts of project partners of the AtMoDat project were accepted for the conference and the material will be made available online later on.
World Meteorological Day
Today is the World Meteorological Day. 70 years ago the World Meteorological Convention came into force on which basis the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) was founded.

Comparison of FAIRness Assessment Tools
Recently an "Analysis of Existing FAIR Assessment Tools" was published by the RDA working group "FAIR Data Maturity Model". We would like to highlight two of the analyzed tools.

Outline of a Generic Quality Indicator extending the DataCite metadata schema published
The AtMoDat aims on establishing a generic quality indicator within the DataCite metadata schema which should support data users to identify high quality research data in and beyond their field of expertise, incentivize data producers to publish high quality data, and honor data repositories which perform extensive data curation. A first outline of such a generic quality indicator was published now.

Vivien Voss (University of Hamburg) presented the AtMoDat project at the International Technical Meetings (ITM) on Air Pollution Modelling and its Application in Hamburg. She also advertised a survey on urban scale atmospheric modeling.
